Port of Guernsey

Land Transport and Travel To and From Port Guernsey
(Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK)

It is possible to disembark at Guernsey Port ferry terminal and walk straight into the town. However, taxis are available to offer fast transfers and buses operate every 15 minutes, with services following a route into the city and beyond.

Travel by Bus and Shuttles

Guernsey has two main bus and coach operators on the island, which run to destinations all over the island, including to St Peter Port's ferry terminal.

Car Hire and Road Travel

It is easy to get around Guernsey by car; the roads are kept in good condition and you can be anywhere on the island within a short time. There is one main road which follows the east, south, and southwest coast and connects all the main villages and towns. There is also a main road running through the centre of the island from east to west and numerous smaller internal roads.

If you plan on hiring a car for your stay in Guernsey, you can arrange to be met at the ferry terminal of the Port of Guernsey by booking your car online ahead of time. A hire car company representative will meet you at the port with your car or take you to the car hire company office in St Peter Port.
